The Garden of The Gods is a one of kind place as well as a local favorite. If you would like to go biking you can bring your own bike and enjoy the trails. If you don't have a bike then you can always rent one. Some of the trails are quite steep and have a 15% grade and the park is at 6400 feet elevation.
If biking isn't your thing you can always go rock climbing in the world's most historic climbing venues. If you prefer just hiking the trails there is also plenty of places to explore. The Ridge trail is a moderate 1/2 mile loop is makes you feel like you are walking in the rocks. The Siamese Twin Trail is an easy 1-mile roundtrip with less than 150-foot rise it has a unique view of Pikes Peak. The Chambers/Bretag/Palmer Trail is a 3-mile hike with less than a 250-foot rise and almost circles the park. The Scotsman/Bickskin Charlie Trail is also a fun one. It is a moderate trail and has views of the Central Garden formations.
The park is open 5 AM - 9 PM, Garden of the Gods Visitor & Nature Center is open 9 AM - 5 PM in the winter months and 8 AM - 7 PM in the summer (Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day Weekend). Both the parks are free and open to the public.
If you would like to bring your pets but they must stay on a leash. People are also asked to not mark the rocks as they are easyily damaged.
